I almost got struck by lightning yesterday while weeding around my radishes.

I had some. They are, in fact, delicious.

There was a freakish beauty in dashing to and then huddling under an open-air shed while a fantastic line of storms came rolling through, I must admit.

Next stop: Woonsocket!

How "almost" are we talking here, by the way?

The lightning and thunder were coincidental. Or it seemed so at the time. I'm going to say about 100 yards away, in the trees at the edge of the big wide open field we were standing in the middle of.

My friend, she jumped and screamed, I yelled "Jesus Christ!" We looked at each other for a beat and fled.

I love when I can't type my own handle. Nicklexia at its finest.

That's pretty cool-sounding, at least from out here where I'm in no danger of being struck by lightning.

BTW, Blogger sucks balls for not being able to find a way to prevent comment spam that doesn't involve me typing in stupid letters....other than the stupid letters that form the stupid words of my stupid discourse. Those I have no qualms about typing ad nauseum. (sp?)

Agreed, especially seeing as how I have to type them even whem logged in.
